WhatsApp Business for a Small Shop: Set It Up in One Afternoon

For most customers in Iraq, a WhatsApp message is easier than a phone call or a website form. If you are still using your personal number for the business, set up WhatsApp Business.

Set up the basics

  • Business profile: name, logo, address, opening hours and a short description of what you sell.
  • Catalogue: add your best products with a photo and a price. Customers can browse without asking.
  • Quick replies: save short answers for common questions such as hours, location and delivery.
  • Greeting and away messages: so nobody feels ignored when you are busy or closed.

Labels keep orders organised

Use labels such as New, Paid, Ready and Delivered. At a glance you can see what needs action.

Build a list, with permission

Ask customers if they would like to hear about offers. Message only people who agreed, and keep messages short and useful. Sending too often loses you the chat.

For restaurants and cafés

TU2 Business includes WhatsApp marketing so you can send birthday offers, new menu launches and 'we missed you' messages to past customers who opted in.

Built for how marketing in Iraq actually work, not translated from somewhere else.
